About Me
I'm really writing this blog for myself. I want to keep track of the things I've learned throughout life, how I've grown, how I've never learned from my mistakes, and maybe, commiserate with some other humans. Honestly, I'm a little disappointed that "commiserate" isn't actually spelled "co-miserate" because what I really mean here is: Maybe other people are going through the same miserable annoyance of having to navigate through shit that society sometimes assumes is self-explanatory like wedding planning, starting a new weight-loss journey, beginning an online blog, buying sex-toys--okay, you get my point.
I will definitely be utilizing the "Label" feature on Blogger because literally no one wants to sift through a bunch of posts about How to be The Cool Aunt when you just need to know my thoughts on Wedding Planning. So, make sure you're utilizing them, too!
I'm a pretty open person--much like a lot of the other self-indulgent millennials out there who think members of society want to know every thought that crosses our minds. Therefore, ask questions! Make comments! Do the things!
Professionally, I am a college English professor. *Please, do not feel like this means I am a "Grammar Nazi" because, first, that term is offensive. Secondly, I honestly don't know shit about shit when it comes to grammar. However, I can analyze and synthesize all things rhetorical 'til the cows come home, and I can teach the heck out of those skills to our future generation of kids in higher-ed.*
Personally, I am a wife, sister, daughter, aunt, best friend, and dog-mother. I've travelled some, but we need to more. Although, our bank account tells me I should probably choose a different desire. I love food, but like, who doesn't? Coffee is life-sustaining. I am incredibly Type-A. Organizing is genuinely a favorite activity of mine. I need to read more. If I write, it is normally non-fiction. I am a proud Texan--lived in mostly central Texas from 1995-Today. Societal norms are over-rated. And red wine is genuinely just that good.
